ABOUT
About Sauthon
Sauthon describes itself as a family business whose story began in 1948, and it has developed children's furniture from its base in Gueret in the Creuse for more than seven decades. The range covers cots and convertible beds, changing and storage furniture, dressers, wardrobes and baby textiles, organised into collections designed to be bought together. Styles move between restrained wood-and-white ranges and more expressive retro-inspired lines, with Access Bois Blanc pairing golden oak decor with natural beech details. Sauthon states that its furniture is manufactured in France.
Why it stands out
Sauthon sells a nursery as a system: cots, growing beds, dressers, changing units and wardrobes matched across collections, with convertible formats throughout.
DESIGN NOTES
Sauthon children's furniture design
Sauthon moves between restrained wood-and-white collections and more expressive retro-inspired ranges. Access Bois Blanc combines golden oak decor with natural beech details and slanted forms for a light, timeless nursery, while Arty uses rounded shapes, angled legs and anthracite or brass-toned handles for a stronger retro character. Several collections include height-adjustable and convertible beds designed to evolve from infancy into early childhood.
