ABOUT
About pure position
pure position is a brand of the Bavarian IWL workshops. Its story begins in 2007 with a growing table designed by industrial designer Olaf Schroeder; in 2011 the IWL gGmbH took the brand over. The furniture keeps a clear, reduced language and a modular structure, so a desk can be extended with shelf units, drawer containers, benches and accessories as a child grows. Its best-known pieces are the growing table and the STUDDY swivel chair. Production takes place in Bavaria, and the IWL workshops give people with different disabilities the chance to take part in working life.
Why it stands out
Every piece is made in Bavaria in workshops that employ people with disabilities, and the modular system is built around a desk that grows with the child.
